Understanding Why You Ought To Be Marketing ... - Web Design Box

Take a second to consider how you would truly answer this query. If given enough thought almost any entrepreneur who utilizes the Internet for any purpose will likely find that whether or not they intentionally arranged a Net marketing campaign, they could already be promoting their goods and services on the Internet. This article is going to inspect some subtle strategies business owners could already be promoting their business online.

Have you got a site for your business? Entrepreneurs who answer yes to this query are selling their products or services online just by way of the undeniable fact that they've got a internet site on the internet. Having a live website means there is the potential for curious Net users to get access to your site. You may not be actively marketing your site but you'll still find that your website generates interest in your products regardless of the absence of promotional endeavors; this is a form of passive marketing.

Do you take part in message boards and include a link to your internet site in your signature? Again business owners who answer yes to this question are marketing their website on the internet. Savvy entrepreneurs realize the significance of collusion in industry related bulletin boards to create a healthy interest in their goods and services, create themselves as informed about the industry and provide a link to their own website even though it is in the signature line of their posts.

However , even entrepreneurs who don't realize this may already be accidentally enjoying the advantages of Internet marketing which result from notice board participation by doing something they enjoy and could be doing as a kind of recreational activity.

Do you include keywords which have relevancy to your business in the content of your website? Business owners who answer yes to this question are also already selling online by optimizing their website for these keywords. These search engine optimisation (S.E.O) affects the internet sites regardless of whether or not they were even aware about the concept of word density and how it will also help to SEO asite. Business owners will possibly use certain words regularly dependent on the type of products and services they offer because it is natural and logical to do so.

This disposition , however , may lead to search websites hiking your website rankings for these particular keywords. The concept of SEO is far more concerned and complicated than using keywords frequently but entrepreneurs can gain some benefit simply by naturally applying applicable keywords to their website.

Do you fish for feedback from your customers online? This is one more illustration of how entrepreneurs might be accidentally promoting their business on the Internet. Most business owners realize the significance of soliciting feedback from consumers for business purposes and business owners who offer products on the internet might seek feedback in the form of online surveys. Though the entrepreneurs might be doing this simply for a business purpose the proven fact that it is done online makes it fall into the category of Online marketing.

We have already discussed 1 or 2 ways in which business owners might already be selling online but what about entrepreneurs who need to have an increased online presence? Business owners who might already be selling online incidentally may wish to launch a full scale Online marketing campaign. The right way to try this is to hire an advisor with experience in Online marketing to assist you in creating a campaign which is effective for your target market.

Ducati to be Featured Marque at 2012 Dana Point Concours D ...

You are here: Home / Motorcycle News / Ducati to be Featured Marque at 2012 Dana Point Concours D?Elegance

DANA POINT, Calif. ? May 31, 2012 ? The Dana Point Concours d?Elegance will celebrate 86 years of Ducati high performance, one of the world?s leading motorcycle manufacturers, during its 30th anniversary extravaganza, June 23-24, at the prestigious St. Regis Monarch Beach golf links in Dana Point, Calif. The premier celebration of automotive elegance in Southern California will feature some of the best motorcycles and automobiles, each competing for top awards during the event.

The 1966 Ducati 250 Monza

?Initially we included collector motorcycles at our event in 2010 as a one-time feature,? noted Jeff Spellens, Dana Point Concours d?Elegance president. ?The response was so incredible that collector motorcycles have become an integral part of the two-day event, and we return each year with a collection of fascinating motorcycle classes. Guests can now enjoy fantastic cars parked alongside beautiful vintage metal by Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Ariel, Ceccato and many other influential marquis.?

The storied Italian manufacturer will be represented on the golf links with a 1955 Ducati 125 Bialbero Gran Prix. The bike features a 125 cc Twin Cam engine, which was part of the original group of motorcycles with the first Twin Cam motor designed by Chief Engineer at Ducati Fabio Taglione.

A 1966 Ducati Monza 250 will also capture attention of those at the show. Manufactured for the American market, the Monza 250 was only built in 1966 and 1967. This ?66 was a barn find in Indiana before the current owner purchased and restored the motorcycle.

One Ducati is a showcase for the company?s superior engineering. Introduced in 1970, the Desmodromic valve system was innovative at the time. Designed by Chief Engineer Taglione, the Desmo head opens and closes the valves using the camshaft, without valve springs. Today it is a trademark of the Ducati brand and is featured in a 350 cc single cylinder 1970 350 Desmo that can be viewed just inside the entrance of the motorcycle pavilion, at this year?s Concours.

Another Ducati that will feature a Desmo head is a 1965 Ducati 250 Mach I Desmo. The bike has a 250 cc engine and is restored to excellent condition. Originally the bike had a springer valve head, but the owner installed a Desmo head to update the bike in 1970.

?Much like owning a Shelby or a Harley-Davidson, owning and riding a Ducati is a lifestyle decision,? added Spellens. ?Enthusiasts live for the rush of cruising down a back country road or open highway, pushing the limits at every turn. It is fitting to celebrate an Italian manufacturer at our event, who understands the meaning of good taste, class and sophistication.?

To see these Ducati?s and more, guests can purchase a general admission ticket for $30 online or $35 at the gate. Motorcycle and car exhibitors can download a registration form and send to the appropriate chairman as noted on the documents. For more information about the event or the automotive and motorcycle classes, please go to www.danapointconcours.org.

Oil ends with biggest monthly loss since Dec '08

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Crude oil futures dropped on Thursday by more than 1 percent, ending May with their biggest monthly decline in more than three years as bloated U.S. stockpiles and weak economic data added to worries about the euro zone crisis, all dampening oil demand prospects.

Oil pared sharp losses of more than 2 percent in afternoon trading, after Dow Jones reported that the International Monetary Fund was considering a rescue loan to beleaguered Spain if it failed to bail out a big bank.

But IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde later denied the report.

"There is no such plan. We have not received any request to that effect and we are not doing any work in relation to any financial support," Lagarde said in a statement.

Fears about potential oil supply disruption and a new Mideast conflict as Iran resumed talks with world powers over its disputed nuclear program had kept oil futures range-bound in recent weeks. But with growing signs of weakening growth in China, Europe and to some extent, the United States, investors have become leery of adding bullish bets on crude futures.

"The latest series of U.S. data has snuffed out recent silver linings that had kept growth moving, though at a slow pace, and Europe is imploding," said Mark Anderle, trader at TAC Energy in Dallas.

"Technical support has also vanished, so now you have a perfect cocktail for selling," he added.

Crude futures slumped to seven-month intraday lows after official data showed that U.S. crude oil stockpiles swelled last week, hitting the highest level in nearly 22 years.

Oil prices trudged downwards earlier on disappointing U.S. economic reports that worsened the outlook for global oil demand prospects, already dampened by the worsening euro zone crisis, and slower growth in China and India.

U.S. crude oil inventories, excluding strategic reserves, rose much more than expected last week to hit their highest level since July 1990, U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) date showed. That quickened the day's selling.

The euro sank in volatile trading against the dollar, touching a 23-year low against the greenback on concerns about Spain's banking troubles and weak U.S. economic data. <.dxy> In turn, investors pared their holdings in riskier commodities and equities assets.

In London, ICE Brent crude futures for July delivery settled at $101.87, down $1.60, the lowest finish for front-month Brent since October 4.

Front-month Brent fell 14.7 percent for the month, its biggest monthly decline since December 2008, after slipping 3 percent on Wednesday. Brent has fallen more than 21 percent from its 2012 high of $128.40 hit in March.

U.S. crude for July delivery settled at $86.53, falling $1.29, and marking the lowest U.S. front-month close since October 20.

Front-month U.S. crude sustained a 17.5 percent loss for May, its biggest monthly decline since December 2008. It has dropped more than 22 percent from its 2012 peak of $110.55 struck in March.

Brent's premium against U.S. crude rose as high as $15.99, but narrowed at the close to $15.34 as U.S. government data showed that crude oil stockpiles at the U.S. delivery point in Cushing Oklahoma, while reaching a new record, edged up only modestly from the previous week's levels.

Traders expect that the reversal earlier this month of the Seaway pipeline from the U.S. delivery point in Cushing, Oklahoma, to the main U.S. refining center in Gulf Coast, will help ease the glut of oil in the U.S. Midwest and possibly move U.S. and Brent crude prices closer. .

Brent's volume topped more than nearly 670,000 contracts, 23 percent above its 30-day average, ahead of the U.S. trading volume of almost 612,000 contracts, 18 percent atop its 30-day average, according to Reuters data.

EURO ZONE CRISIS

The crisis in the euro zone continued to dominate market sentiment.

"Markets have been fairly tight but it's all these euro zone worries that have really spooked the oil markets," said Rob Montefusco, a trader at Sucden Financial.

Mario Draghi, president of the European Central Bank, warned that the ECB could not fill the vacuum created by the lack of action by national governments.

Spain's center-right government has so far failed to spell out how it plans to finance a 23.5 billion euro ($29 billion) rescue of Bankia , the country's fourth largest lender.

GASOLINE FALLS, JOBS DATA AWAITED

U.S. gasoline futures closed the month at a four-month low, pressured by continuing weak demand, despite falling stockpiles.

U.S. gasoline for June delivery expired and settled at $2.8250 a gallon, down 3.32 cents, the lowest close for front-month gasoline since January 24. Prices fell as investors ignored data showing U.S. gasoline inventories fell last week to the lowest level since 2008.

On Friday, traders shift their sights to the all-important U.S. nonfarm payrolls and unemployment data for May to see if the economy's modest recovery is still holding.

U.S. employers were expected to have hired 150,000 new workers during the month, after a disappointing rise of just 115,000 in April, according to a Reuters poll. The unemployment rate probably remained unchanged at the 8.1 percent level, the poll also showed.

Honey, I shrunk technology ? Smartphone avalanche burying ...

phones 300x202 Honey, I shrunk technology Smartphone avalanche burying computer industry dinosaursThe personal computer has dominated modern life for 25 years, but the often bulky devices are increasingly giving way to smaller, lighter smartphones and tablet computers. The whole sector is scrambling to survive the avalanche set off by Apple under its late founder, Steve Jobs. Technology giant Hewlett-Packard, whose business is still built on personal computers and printers, this week announced it would slash its payroll by 27,000 workers, or 8 percent, by 2014 to eventually save at least 3 billion dollars a year. Managers were admitting to Wall Street that HP?s future was as a smaller company.

The world?s largest PC manufacturer has so far failed to connect with consumer demand for smartphones and tablets ? a new technology landscape of slender mobile devices dominated by Silicon Valley?s Apple and South Korea?s Samsung. A world of mobile computing appears to have only a small space left for Hewlett-Packard, as well as PC competitor Dell, which has suffered shrinking sales recently. Both have failed to achieve the innovations to make a successful transition. As early as 2010, when he launched the iPad, Jobs talked about the ?post-PC world.?

Other manufacturers did not take his vision seriously, and they continued to make their big desktop machines and laptops. One of their biggest innovations was to make PCs in colours other than the old ?computer grey.? In time, Jobs was vindicated. ?Today, Apple is reinventing the phone,? he said in 2007, as he launched the iPhone. At the time, it sounded like an exaggeration, but the cellphone with a touch-sensitive screen set new standards for performance and appearance. Above all, the iPhone redefined the industry, because for the first time it brought to the fore not the device but the software it holds: the apps. At the start of 2010, Jobs dealt a definitive blow to the PC: he launched Apple?s tablet computer, the iPad. With it, the company again achieved a resounding success.

Over the past quarter alone, 35 million iPhones have been sold, along with close to 12 million iPads. By comparison, based on the data of market research firm Gartner, 89 million PCs were sold over the same period by all manufacturers put together. PC firms tried to come up with their own tablets, well before Apple did. More than 10 years ago in Las Vegas, Microsoft founder Bill Gates presented his vision of the digital table computer. The smartphone, too, is hardly Jobs? invention. However, alternative devices were too expensive, inconvenient or just too ugly to become bestsellers. Now, little is left for PC manufacturers to do but chase Apple and try not to miss the train altogether. Some of them continue to focus, successfully, on the traditional PC market, like the Chinese company Lenovo, whose boss Yang Yuanqing likes to talk of a ?PC-plus era.? A big fish like Hewlett-Packard, however, can hardly change overnight.

For years, the US giant worked on perfecting its business of selling computers, complementing them with extras like printers and offering services for such equipment. It was a perfect long-term relationship with customers, or so HP managers thought. HP reached the top of the industry 10 years ago through the expensive purchase of rival PC maker Compaq. Change within the sector, however, threw them off balance. Their hardware sales dropped, their software business failed to grow fast enough, payment for acquisitions like security service provider SonicWall was still pending. Prospects are good once the payroll is reduced, and share prices rose more than 3 per cent Thursday. While Apple is surfing the mobile wave with the iPhone and iPad and setting trends in the notebook computer market with the MacBook, Hewlett-Packard does not even have smartphones and tablets on offer. HP bought the smartphone pioneer Palm in 2010, but the management opted to close the company soon afterward, because it was uncompetitive. ?dpa

Panasonic's UN-W700 runs Android, streams Blu-ray video, takes Skype calls, isn't a tablet

Image

We've seen Android used for home theater purposes before, but it's been rare that a company has wanted Google's OS used almost exclusively with that purpose in mind. Panasonic is gambling that its UN-W700 can use Android (2.3, unfortunately) for an all-singing, all-dancing compact video device. The 7-inch, 800x480 standee plays media from its SDXC card slot or over DLNA, including recordings normally destined for Blu-ray from one of Panasonic's Diga set-top boxes. If you'd rather dish out video than just receive it, there's a front camera for Skype video calls -- and the W700 is still Google-blessed, so you can visit Google Play if you'd rather play Death Rally than watch Death Race 2000. We're not sure about the idea of a tablet without much of the portability, but Japanese shops will give the opportunity to decide for yourself on July 25th for an unofficially estimated $446.
